These terms apply to your use of the Rolling Basis website and property-tax reassessment estimate tool, including single-report purchases and the Pro subscription. By using the tool, you agree to them.

What the tool is

Rolling Basis estimates what a property’s tax bill may reset to after a purchase, based on the purchase price, property type, and the reassessment rules of the relevant jurisdiction. It is a modeling tool, not a substitute for a county assessor’s determination.

Payments and subscriptions

A single report is a one-time purchase processed by Stripe; no account is required. Because a report is generated on demand at the moment of purchase, purchases are generally final once the report has been generated and delivered. If something went wrong with your order, contact us and we’ll make it right. Pro is a recurring monthly subscription that renews automatically until canceled; you can cancel anytime from your account’s billing portal, effective at the end of the current billing period.

No professional advice

Estimates, memo language, and PDF reports produced by this tool are automated and informational only. They are not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and are not a guarantee of your actual tax bill. Verify any figure you rely on with the county assessor and a qualified appraiser or tax professional before using it in a decision.

Acceptable use

• Don’t attempt to circumvent the tool’s usage limits or rate limiting.
• Don’t scrape, automate, or resell the tool’s output at scale without asking us first.
• Don’t submit data you don’t have the right to submit.

No warranty

The tool is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We make no representation as to the accuracy of any parcel data pulled from county sources, the correctness of any jurisdiction’s reset rule as coded, or the outcome of any decision made using this tool.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rolling Basis is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the tool or reliance on its output, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes: pricing, account features, and additional coverage are all still evolving. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
