Privacy Policy

Rolling Basis is a property-tax reassessment tool. A single report is a one-time purchase and does not require an account. A Pro subscription requires signing in with your email (no password; we send a one-time link). This policy covers the data we collect either way.

What we collect

When you run an estimate, we process the address or parcel ID, purchase price, and property type you enter, along with publicly available county assessor and GIS data for that parcel. When you buy a single report, Stripe collects your payment details directly (we never see your card number) and shares your email and the purchase record with us so we can deliver the report. If you sign in for Pro, we store your email address and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers to manage your account and enforce your monthly report allowance. We also log a hashed, salted version of your IP address to rate-limit the free address-lookup tool; we do not store the IP address itself.

How we use it

Address and parcel data is used only to generate your estimate. Your email is used to deliver the report you purchased, manage your Pro subscription if you have one, or notify you about product updates if you joined the waitlist, nothing else. We do not sell or rent any data you provide.

Third parties

Address lookups are geocoded through the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoder, with Mapbox as a fallback. Reports, purchases, and accounts are stored with Supabase. Emails are sent through Resend. Payments and subscriptions are processed by Stripe, which handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy.

Data retention

Purchase and account records are retained for as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal recordkeeping. Email addresses collected outside a purchase (for example, the waitlist) are retained until you ask us to delete them.
